A delightful visit by Dr. Ben Furman and Mr. Arnoud Huibers.
Two eminent and honorary personalities Dr. Ben Furman and Mr. Arnoud Huibers made a surprise visit to Wellness Clinic, Calicut on 24th December, 2017. Kids and colleagues were equally excited to see the wonderful guests who made a short casual visit to the clinic.
Known for their pioneering works in respective fields, the duo has contributed immensely in the field of solution focused approaches.
Dr. Furman is a Finnish psychiatrist and psychotherapist who have shown great interest in child population. He has put forth a unique and evidence based approach, called ‘Kid’s skills’, which has gained popularity worldwide. He is an internationally renowned teacher of solution-focused therapy, coaching and organizational development.
Mr. Huibers is a consultant psychotherapist from Netherlands, who is the founding member of Solution Focused Centre, in 2004. He is a renowned trainer of solution focused approach in the Netherlands, Europe, the Caribbean and India.
Dr. Furman and Mr. Huibers along with Mrs. Jikke Stokeman, who is an educational psychologist engaged in a playful session with children during remedial training. They interacted with the kids and exchanged a few questions with the therapist in the clinic. “Humor is a universal language. Playful goal-setting activates child”, said Mr. Huibers during the visit.
