The Indian Institute of Forest Management in Bhopal has invited applications for admission to the fully residential two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management (PGDFM) for 2018-19.
According to the notification, the programme prepares the students in establishing career in sectors like forestry, environment, development (NGO), micro finance and banking, corporate social responsibility, eco-tourism and agri-based industries like paper, ply-wood, furniture etc.
Total intake is 120 and reservation as per Government of India rules will be given.
The total fee for the entire programme including hostel fees is Rs 4.80 lakh for General/OBC NC/DA and Rs 2.88 lakh for SC/ST candidates. There will be 20 performance based, merit scholarship of Rs 5000 per month
Eligibility: Applicant must hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of SC/ST/Differently Abled (DA)) or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Those appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. If selected, such candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, on submission of a certificate, (issued on or before June 30, 2018, latest by June 30, 2018, from the Principal/Registrar of his/her College/Institute, stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate.
Applicants should have appeared for CAT 2017/ XAT 2018. IIFM will use CAT/XAT score for short-listing the candidates.
Application Fee: Application fee is Rs 1000. It is Rs. 500 for SC/ST.
Application Applications can be submitted online at www.iifm.ac.in/pgdfm. Application fee can be remitted through debit card/credit card/net banking. Application from can also be downloaded from http://iifm.ac.in/ and the filled-in-form sent with the requisite fee by way of Demand Draft of Rs. 1000 (Rs. 500 for SC/ST) with all attachments by speed post. Admission bulletin and the application form can be obtained personally or by post by sending a Demand Draft of Rs 1000 (Rs. 500 for SC/ST) in favour of Director, Indian Institute of Forest Management, payable at Bhopal.
Applicants must send the photocopy of CAT/XAT admit card along the application form.
Application complete in all respects must reach ‘The Chairperson, PGDFM Admission, Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh-462003’ latest by 10th February, 2018 for CAT applicants and by 20th February, 2018 for XAT applicants.
Written Aptitude Test (WAT) and personnel interviews (PI) for short-listed candidates will be held at Bhopal, Bangalore, New Delhi and Kolkata during March/April 2018.
